Nature Morte (Still Life)

Nature Morte draws on the tradition of still life: the arrangement of preserved forms for aesthetic contemplation. Vintage photographic images of women are combined with botanical elements to explore how decoration softens and frames the image, shaping the gaze. The flowers are hand-picked, pressed and photographed before being reassembled through digital collage. Preserved and rearranged, they become part of constructed surfaces where femininity is embellished and held in place.​
