Rehearsing the Ideal
These works examine how ideals of femininity are constructed, rehearsed, and made to feel natural.
The series draws on archival images of women performing, posing and moving in synchrony. Through repetition, mirroring and alignment, individual bodies begin to dissolve into pattern. What looks effortless is revealed as something carefully practiced. Gestures, postures and expressions repeat across bodies and images, suggesting how femininity is learned through constant visual rehearsal.
